Our tagline, “Nachrichten, Analysen und Hintergründe für Deutschland,” reflects a focus on German-speaking audiences who want trustworthy journalism about Sweden’s politics, economy, culture and society. Every article is written by a named journalist, reviewed by an editor and fact-checked before publication – a process designed to cut through spin and oversimplification.
Who is responsible for what we publish?
Chief editor Sebastian Lorenz (anders.lindqvist@medienlinker.de) is accountable for all editorial standards, publication decisions and corrections at Medienlinker. He ensures every piece meets our mission of trustworthy Swedish journalism that helps readers understand complex issues.
Our editorial team is structured by beat. Melanie Vogt, as newsroom chief, oversees daily operations, headline review and commissioning. Alexander Dietrich covers the Riksdag, government and municipal politics. Laura Pfeiffer reports on the economy, markets and household finance. How do we handle mistakes?
When we get something wrong, we correct it promptly and transparently – not hide it. Sandra Mayer’s fact-checking team reviews every article before publication, and our formal corrections policy (see Corrections Policy) commits us to noting all significant changes in a visible correction notice.
Readers can submit complaints via the dedicated fact-checking policy page or by writing to corrections@medienlinker.de. We take editorial accountability seriously: every correction is logged and, where appropriate, a clarification is added to the original article.

What role does artificial intelligence play?
AI-assisted tools may support research, drafting, formatting, translation, metadata, headline options, summaries and transcription – but they never replace human editorial judgement. Every piece of published content is reviewed and approved by a human editor.
Our AI & Automation Policy explicitly forbids AI from fabricating quotes, sources, interviews, bylines, author experience or expert profiles. The policy is publicly available and enforced by the editorial leadership.
