Medienlinker (medienlinker.de) is an independent Swedish digital news publisher committed to trustworthy, human-edited journalism. This Editorial Policy explains how we produce, label and correct all content published on our site. It applies to every article, analysis, feature, opinion piece, sponsored item and affiliate link we publish.
How does our editorial process work?
Every article at Medienlinker is drafted by a named writer, reviewed by a section editor and fact-checked before publication. No piece is published without explicit human approval.
Writers research and draft stories following our internal standards guides. Editors review for accuracy, clarity, tone and compliance with this policy. The fact‑checking team, led by Sandra Mayer (Ansvarig för faktagranskning), verifies key claims, dates, names and figures against primary sources. Once a piece is approved, it is scheduled for publication. We do not use automated or uncritically republished content. Sponsored or commercial material is never published without a separate editorial review and clear labelling.
How do we distinguish news, opinion, features and sponsored content?
We label every piece with its content type so readers can judge the nature of what they are reading. News articles report facts without commentary. Opinion pieces are clearly marked as such and carry a byline with the author’s role. Features provide deeper analysis but remain grounded in verifiable reporting. Sponsored content is labelled “Sponsored” at the top and bottom of the page and is produced in collaboration with the advertiser under a separate Sponsored Content Policy. Affiliate links within articles are disclosed inline with a short note, and our Advertising & Affiliate Disclosure page explains how those links work and how we handle commissions.
Who is responsible for what we publish?
Chefredaktör Sebastian Lorenz (anders.lindqvist@medienlinker.de) is ultimately responsible for all editorial standards, publication decisions and corrections. Each section has a dedicated editor: Melanie Vogt (Redaktionschef) oversees the daily newsroom; Alexander Dietrich (Politikredaktör) leads political coverage; Laura Pfeiffer (Wirtschaftreporter) handles economic and market reporting; Daniel Neumann (Kultur‑ och samhällsredaktör) edits culture and society pieces. All named team members are listed on our team page. Anonymous or pseudonymous bylines are not used.
What you can expect from us
You can expect every article on Medienlinker to be written by a named journalist, reviewed by an editor, fact‑checked and labelled with its content type. You can expect that corrections are made promptly and transparently through our Corrections Policy and that any use of AI‑assisted tools is disclosed according to our AI & Automation Policy. You can expect that commercial relationships never determine editorial conclusions and that sponsored or affiliate material is clearly marked. We do not publish clickbait headlines or exaggerated claims.
How do we handle mistakes and complaints?
If you believe we have published an error, please contact our fact‑checking team via corrections@medienlinker.de. We commit to correcting substantive factual errors within one working day and will append a correction note to the article. For complaints about editorial standards, bias, labelling or content type, please use our formal complaints procedure. The procedure is simple: email complaints@medienlinker.de, and we will acknowledge receipt within two working days and explain how we will investigate. Chefredaktör Sebastian Lorenz oversees all complaints and will respond with a final decision within ten working days.
What is our policy on AI and automation?
AI‑assisted tools may support research, editing, formatting, translation, metadata generation, headline options, summarisation or transcription. However, AI must never fabricate quotes, sources, interviews, bylines, author experience or expert profiles. All published editorial content is reviewed by a human editor before publication. Our full AI & Automation Policy details which tools we use and how we test for accuracy.
How is Medienlinker funded and who owns it?
Medienlinker is owned and operated by Medienlinker Media Ltd., a private company registered in Gibraltar (company number C 92009, Malta Business Registry). Our funding comes from display advertising, affiliate links, commercial partnerships, sponsored content, newsletter sponsorships and content licensing. Our Ownership & Funding page lists all funding sources and our commercial partners. No funder or partner has editorial influence over our journalism. Our editorial independence is guaranteed by contract and by this policy.
